Prince Edward County Public Schools held several events to prepare our Eagles to return to campus for the school year 2022-2023. PECMS and PECHS sponsored events to help with the transition to a new setting within the PECPS family. Our division-wide open house was held to welcome all our Eagles back for the year.
Prince Edward County High School held a ninth grade night on Tuesday, August 2nd. During ninth grade night, students got to experience a preview of a high school day by following the bell schedule to each class. They were able to pick up their laptop and get a copy of their schedule. Parents and students had the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about PECHS expectations.
Prince Edward County Middle School held a fifth grade orientation on Wednesday, August 3rd. PECMS welcomed the newest addition to the PECMS family by giving them a tour of the school and a copy of their class schedule. Parents and students were able to meet teachers and had an open forum to ask questions about the upcoming school year. Many students left with a selection of books they picked out and reconnected with friends!
Open house was held on August 4th at PECPS. It was great to see our Eagle families back on campus! We are eagerly preparing for the upcoming school year. Eagle families were able to meet teachers and reconnect with friends. The Virginia Department of Education will be looking for the #Back2SchoolVA to share back to school pictures!
