Child Find is the process school divisions must use to locate, identify and evaluate children who need special education and related services. It is the first step in the process of determining if a child is eligible for special education. In Prince Edward County, it is the responsibility of Prince Edward County Schools to help coordinate the Child Find process. Our Child Find program is designed to identify and serve children residing within Prince Edward County or attending a Prince Edward County daycare or private school who are age 2 to age 21, inclusive, and may require special education services.
