Spirit Week is next week for PECHS! ๐๏ธ๐ธ

The ES hosted a Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Head Start registration event today! It was great to see over 80 families come! Thank you to our staff for all the hard work that goes into planning this event. A special shout-out to the Farmville Lions Club, who came to do vision screenings, and the Central Virginia Regional Library, who gave out books and entertained our #FutureEagles while they waited! #communuitypartners

Why Attendance Matters!
Good attendance is one of the biggest factors in student success! When students attend school regularly, they gain important academic skills, develop social connections, and build habits that will help them in college and careers. Missing just a few days may not seem like a big deal, but absences add up quickly and can make it harder for students to catch up. At PECPS, weโre committed to helping every student succeed, and that starts with being in school every day. If your family is facing challenges with attendance, let us knowโweโre here to support you! Letโs work together to help every student reach their full potential. #SuccessStartsWithAttendance #BePresentBePowerful

The RAM Clinic will be held next weekend at Cumberland County High School. This FREE clinic will offer medical services for vision, dental, and general medical care. What is Truancy?
Truancy isnโt just about skipping schoolโit can have serious academic and legal consequences. A student is considered truant after 7+ unexcused absences, which can lead to intervention meetings, attendance contracts, and even court involvement. The good news? Truancy is preventable! Parents can help by reporting absences, ensuring students arrive on time, and addressing any school concerns early. Schools offer support for families facing challenges like transportation or health issues. If you need help, donโt wait to reach out to your school today! Together, we can keep students on the path to success. #attendancemattersVA #BePresentBePowerful
