Recently, Ms. Tibbs, Mr. Lee, and Dr. Jones met with our seniors in small groups, and the conversations were powerful. ๐ฌ
Listening to our students reminds us just how important student voice truly is. Here are a few themes they shared:
โจ A desire for more engaging, hands-on learning and less lecture-based & screen instruction
๐ More exposure to careers and opportunities to hear from professionals
๐ค The importance of having trusted adults they can talk to
๐ Understanding the dress code, with some feedback on headgear policies
๐ซ Recognition that vaping is a real concern
๐ซ Interest in updated facilities over time
๐ An appreciation for structure, even if they donโt always show it
๐ฆ
A love for school spirit days and celebrating what it means to be an Eagle
We are grateful for their honesty, insight, and willingness to share. Their voices help guide our work as we continue striving to make our schools the best they can be for every student. #GreatThingsAreHappeningAtPECPS

Over the past two weeks, students have been recognized for a variety of reasons that reflect the heart of our school community. Some were recognized by their teachers for showing strong academic improvement as we approached the end of the nine weeks, demonstrating hard work, perseverance, and growth. Others were recognized for helping organize new donations to our PECHS Clothes Closet and for showing what it means to be a good citizen through their service, kindness, and support of others.
We are so proud of each of these students for the many ways they are making a positive impact at PECHS. Keep up the great work, Eagles!
