Yesterday, we celebrated with a ribbon-cutting 🎀 for our new school playground and The Reading Eagle 🦅 literacy bus! Our playground is a vibrant space where students can play, learn, and grow. 🌟 The Reading Eagle will bring the joy of reading 📚 to our community. 🌟✨

School Board Chair Lucy Carson and Vice Chair Susan Kimbrough spent time engaging with students during summer school. Students presented capstone food truck projects, visited the LCVA, and participated in interactive activities during the three-week summer school program.
Snowie RVA - Shaved Ice visited PECMS to assist students with their model food truck projects. The students conducted market research, developed a business plan, built a scale model truck, and presented their unique food truck concepts. 🍧🚚
Summer school was all about project-based learning and hands-on activities! Students flew drones, created model playgrounds with Ozobots, and solved breakout boxes. We love to see our students and teachers engaged!
