To celebrate National Reading Month, the elementary school reading team is filling up the bulletin board in the cafeteria with pictures of students when they Get Caught Reading! Some images will be shared on social media to highlight where our Eagles are reading! To have your child included, email a picture of them reading at home or around town. Reading can happen anywhere! Our nurse aid students recently attended a healthcare fair sponsored by Southside Virginia Community College. Students explored different career opportunities and spoke to nursing students.
The division-wide attendance campaign of S.O.A.R. 🦅 is an ongoing effort to remind all our Eagles of the importance of daily attendance. Mrs. Amos, the Student Support Specialist, has started showing up to random classes 🎉 to give away incentives to our Eagles. Last week, she picked an ES class with perfect attendance to receive a prize. 🏆 #AttendanceMattersVA

The middle school PTO will meet on Wednesday, March 13, from 6 to 7 pm in the Middle School Library.
Did you know that school districts host an annual assessment concert where students perform prepared music for judges, receiving grades or ratings for the entire band? This is in line with the state Standards of Learning for music. A pre-assessment concert recently took place at the high school to prepare for the upcoming assessment concert. The high school assessment is scheduled for Friday, 3/8/24, and the middle school assessment for Saturday, 3/9/24, both at Lloyd C. Bird High School in Chesterfield. Good luck, Eagles!
