๐ŸŽ“ Congratulations to our PECHS seniors!
This past weekend, several of our seniors celebrated major milestones as they graduated from Southside Virginia Community College and Governorโ€™s School of Southside Virginia programs.
The ceremony, held at Longwood University, recognized the hard work, dedication, and commitment these students have shown in earning college credits and achieving advanced academic milestones in high school.
We are so proud of all they have accomplished and canโ€™t wait to see whatโ€™s next for them! ๐Ÿ’›

Did you know? Measles is highly contagious, especially for those who are not vaccinated. The Virginia Department of Health and your primary care provider are good resources for questions or concerns. PECPS has been in contact with the Piedmont Health District to stay updated through the Virginia Department of Health.

PECHS is proud to highlight an incredible opportunity for our students! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’› On Saturday, April 18, Mr. Henderson and Ms. Davis from PECHS School Counseling took a group of students to Virginia State University for their Open House. Throughout the day, students explored academic programs and support services, met faculty and student services staff, and gained valuable information about admissions, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities. Students also participated in a campus tour and enjoyed performances from various campus organizations, giving them a true feel for college life. A huge thank you to our PECHS School Counseling Staff for providing such a meaningful and engaging experience as our students continue preparing for their future! ๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ‘

PECHS is proud to spotlight the amazing work happening in Coach Makinsโ€™ Introduction to Theatre class! ๐ŸŽญ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’›
On Thursday, April 30, students stepped into the role of the teacher, working in groups to design and deliver their own lessons. Each group created a mini-lesson focused on a specific element of theatre, incorporating instructional strategies, engaging activities, and opportunities for their classmates to learn by doing.

From breaking down what makes a strong script to leading interactive improv exercises, our students did an incredible job teaching and learning from one another. Their creativity, collaboration, and confidence were on full display as they took ownership of the classroom and truly brought theatre to life.

We are so proud of these Eagles for rising to the challenge and demonstrating excellence through student-led learning! ๐ŸŽฌ๐Ÿ‘
